TUNES BY THE TRACK ARTISTS
PAT KENNY
25th August
After previously serving in the Australian military for five years, Pat Kenny has now turned his attention to songwriting. The Brisbane based singer/songwriter shattered his kneecap in 2015, cutting short his military career. This event inspired him to begin turning his stories into songs. Kenny’s sound is a blend of Folk and Alt-Country, taking inspiration from artists such as Bob Dylan and Ryan Adams.
‘An emerging artist with the chops to follow the likes of Paul Kelly and Shane Nicholson into the fame halls.’
Kath Devaney (ABC Country Programmer)
Alice Benfer
11th August
Alice Benfer is a versatile singer/songwriter from Gympie QLD. Alice was the Lead Singer in a country cover band for 3 years and now enjoys performing regularly as a Solo Artist at festivals, clubs, private functions and some charitable events.
Alice’s new EP titled “Cowgirl Rockin” is very refreshing and uplifting, this EP was recorded at Rancom St Studio’s in Sydney and all but one song was co-written with Garth Porter from the popular band “Sherbet”. Alice Benfer has achieved two #1 singles in the Country Tracks Top 40 National Chart from her EP titled “Amamoor Creek” and “A Little Bit Flirty”.
Alice continues to perform live and follow her passion for music and songwriting.
TYLER HAMMILL
4th August
Being a singer/songwriter gives me the opportunity to express my time here in song. To be honest all I want to do is play music, I don’t have a job because I put all my time and effort into my music. I know deep down I have what it takes, but so far I’m still waiting for a chance to shine. Other from that my life is a blessing I have a family that love and support me in everything I do, have a roof over my head, food on the table and an education. I just want to give back to the people that have given me everything.
